Wait is Dragon Ball Super actually getting new episodes in October or is it just a rerun?

Saw a trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Beerus and it looked way better animated than i remember the original being. Is this a genuinely new story arc or just the Beerus and Golden Frieza saga redone with better animation? Kind of confused if I need to rewatch the old version first or if I can just start on this one instead.
